Hey guys,
I just wanted to post real quick that I lost a cousin in a car accident this afternoon. Three people were killed and unfortunately, my cousin was one of them. It seems as if bad news is raining on me right now.
Don't get me wrong, I know this isn't about me... I am not trying to gain sympathy or anything because the focus should be on him and his life. Honoring it. This just really sucks.
I spent the whole day with my Mom, my brother, his wife and his wife's Mom (who I consider family... she is really cool). We went on this long walk and just took the time to be a family. Hours later we lost someone from that family.
You just never know guys... you never know.
When it rains, it pours.

Me.
WindySydney began as an online journal detailing my exit from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Since leaving the Mormon Church, I have come to the conclusion that religion does more harm than good. I have also become an atheist, looking for logic and reason instead of accepting things on faith.
I also blog about things going on in my life. I am learning photography, I have a severe addiction to diet coke, I am a proud vegetarian, and I have two of the cutest cats in the world. Life is officially an adventure without the magical fairy-tale ending. I plan on enjoying it.

Wow, really small world, one of my close friends had friends in that car accident as well. I'm incredibly sorry for your loss. I know it's tragic to lose someone you love and care about like that. You're not alone.

My heart goes out to the families. We were on our way home when we heard. They were all so young.

Mrs. Duncan,
Wasn't that weird? There we were just hanging out all day and then *boom* everything changed.
Ugh, life can really smack you in the face, can't it?
My heart is broken for the immediate families of all those involved in the crash. My aunt and uncle are doing as well as can be expected, but what a horrible thing to have to accept.
It's horrible. :(
