Leaving The Church, But Not Leaving It Alone

One thing believing Mormons constantly complain about is how those possessed-by-Satan-apostates can "leave the church, but not leave the church alone." I think this phrase is meant to get us to shut up and get us to... well... for the lack of a better phrase... leave them alone.
Here's the thing... The church is a corrupt institution that has lied to us and others for way too long. Why should we leave them alone?
If the church were a business (which it is, but.. you know) and actively took part in defrauding people, the consumers involved would be fighting back, right? Just because they are labeled a church we should leave them alone? That gives them a free pass?
Last night, thousands of people marched in temple square in Salt Lake City because they know what the church did was wrong.
Do the leaders of this so-called religion really think they can get away with lying to the world forever? Do they really think that people will not stand up to the perfectly pressed suits? Do they think we will stand back and look the other way?
Yesterday, the church put out this statement about their role in Prop H8 and the backlash that followed:
It is disturbing that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is being singled out for speaking up as part of its democratic right in a free election. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints asked it's members for millions of dollars in donations, asked members in Utah to cold-call people in California telling them how to vote and spewing lies (kids being taught homosexuality in public schools? Nope.), and asked members in California to spend their afternoons and evenings at busy intersections holding prop h8 signs. They then have the nerve to look around and say, "Why is everyone picking on us??? They did it, too!"Members of the Church in California and millions of others from every faith, ethnicity and political affiliation who voted for Proposition 8 exercised the most sacrosanct and individual rights in the United States — that of free expression and voting.
While those who disagree with our position on Proposition 8 have the right to make their feelings known, it is wrong to target the Church and its sacred places of worship for being part of the democratic process.
Once again, we call on those involved in the debate over same-sex marriage to act in a spirit of mutual respect and civility towards each other. No one on either side of the question should be vilified, harassed or subject to erroneous information.
Guess what, LDSinc., You are getting the backlash you deserve and it will continue. It will continue because people like me, the possessed-by-Satan-apostates whom you have lied to for decades, have had enough of your lying.
We are not going anywhere.
If you are going to make a comment like:
No one on either side of the question should be vilified, harassed or subject to erroneous information.
You shouldn't be spewing erroneous information every Sunday. You shouldn't give erroneous information to your missionaries who then go out in the world and share that erroneous information with others. You shouldn't lie. Why do you have the right to lie?
I sit back and roll my eyes because a church that was forced to give up polygamy to become a state, is trying to tell other people who they should marry. Ridiculous.

They are like the 8 year old bully who got caught when the others didn't. "It's not Fair" Whine, bitch, moan...
What makes me the most mad is that they did this whole thing when it came to the womens movement, interracial marriage and prop 22. What the hell are they thinking? That they can just discriminate and no one will ever call them out on it?!
I told a family member that the other churches are being picketed too but it isnt shown in the media as much as here. Her response " Well good, they need to stop picking on just us". Ugh.
Sorry this whole subject just gets my blood boiling!

Members don't see it... its right in front of them and they don't see it. How obvious does it have to be????
