I still have no idea what to believe in.
Sometimes a belief in God seems like I have an imaginary friend. Sometimes things happen that you can't explain that make it seem like there is a loving higher power.
No one knows.
Anyway, I came across a quote from a passenger from the airplane that crash landed in the Hudson River:
'God was certainly looking out for all of us'
Really? God was looking out for you?
Was He looking out for you when he put that flock of geese in front of the plane?
If God was looking out for you, why did the accident happen in the first place?

This has always been one of the things that bothers me the most about what Christians say about God's will/intervention.
If tragedy hits - it was to build faith or teacha lesson. If someone is on the brink of death and we pray for them to live and they do - we had enough faith and God rewarded us. If someone is on the brink of death and we pray for them to live and they don't - God wanted to call them home and they are in heaven watching over us.
I want to write a book called God Always Wins. Because no matter what happens, it was God's will anyway. So why do we pray at all?
