Photo Update Time!

Sorry for the lack of posts recently. I have been going through some things on the personal front. Don't worry, I'm fine.

This morning I woke up at 3 am and could not fall back asleep. I have been suffering from insomnia for about 10 years now, to the point that taking Tylenol PM before bedtime is pretty much habit. This, of course, is horrible for my liver, but no sleep is horrible for Andee. If anyone has any suggestions on cheap remedies to fall fast asleep, I am all ears!!!

Around 6 am I decided to go for a long walk... and I took my camera with me. I thought I would share some of the photos I took and get feedback on them as well. I will throw in some photos I took during the week, too. Roomie says my photos have taken a "dark" turn. Is he right? Hmm... maybe.

Oh, and I save my favorites for last...

My favorite pizza joint.

Brick. I love brick. When I am wealthy (I can dream, right) I want to have a brick wall in my kitchen.

This is an old photo, but important because it's showing you the exterior of the "White House."

This is the inside of the "White House." When I walked by this morning I was shocked to see that one of the windows was bashed in. I took a good look through the window, snapped this photo and then left. Last thing I want is someone to assume I am the one who broke into the place!

I drive by this building nearly every day. The blue window is awesome. I love it.

This is so beautiful. It would be cool to have a bunch of kids running down the street with balloons or something to really make a statement... where am I going to find a bunch of kids like that? Hahaha... certainly can't pay 'em!


I don't know why I buy the cats toys. They prefer stuff that can easily be found for free. Take this, for instance. Spooky Bear prefers this plain old cardboard box to the kitty cat tree we bought her from PetSmart. She even eats in her box. I am thinking of painting something on the outside of it and naming it the "Kitty Cat Hotel."

Finally, these two photos are of outdoor cats that belong to my neighbors. They are both very friendly, and awesome in their own special way... I will let these photos speak for themselves!!!

Look at those eyes!!! So blue! No camera tricks or editing AT ALL!!! I was so surprised when I met this little creature. She's beautiful :)

This guy lives on the second floor and he likes to hang out like this and meow at people. He's so cool... He looks like he is stuck there, huh?

Andee's Scum of the Earth Awards

I have a thing for crime blogs. I love keeping up on current events, but there is something about the legal system that fascinates me. Will they find the person responsible? Will there be an arrest? What kind of evidence do they have? What are the motives?

Sheri, Garrett and Gavin Coleman

Chris Coleman has been arrested and charged with the murder of his wife and two children. Authorities claim that the victims were found in their own beds and they died of ligature strangulation.

Chris claimed that he left the house around 6 am to go to the gym just a short distance away from the house. He said he tried calling the house to make sure his wife and children were getting up and ready for the kids' school day, and when he didn't succeed in getting anyone to pick up the phone, he called the cops for a welfare check on his family.

The cops arrived and gained access to the home. They found Sheri, Gavin and Garrett dead in their beds. There were also messages written on the walls in the home with red spray paint... saying things like "Punished" and "I saw you leave."

Investigators took their time and made sure they had enough evidence to make the charges stick before they arrested Chris Coleman for the murder. His story was more than fishy, and people quickly learned he had a girlfriend who worked as a hostess at a strip club in Florida. Also, Sheri's name was taken off the deed of the home in October of last year. Sheri's family and their legal team are not sure if the signature on the document was actually hers.

My gut tells me the police have it right. His story doesn't add up, and there is more evidence pointing at him every single day...

What scum!

How can anyone even CONSIDER choking the life out of their family members in their own beds? Those poor boys probably saw the person who killed them, and they were probably as surprised as you could possibly be to see that it was their father.

Sometimes, a nosy neighbor really comes to the rescue. Jennifer D’Silva’s neighbor heard her baby crying, obviously long enough to become concerned. Tamra Leasure, 43, has been charged with the shooting death of Arthur R. Tilley Jr., 57. This actually happened back in March, but Tamra is just now being charged with the crime. During an argument between the two, Tamra shot Arthur. In the head. In the neck. In the torso. She then placed the gun in his hand, called 911 and reported a suicide. Why it took a couple months to charge Tamra I have no clue, but I am sure that investigators figured out pretty quickly that Arthur probably didn’t shoot himself three times. So Much For Memorial Day!

A friend of mine from one of the many message boards I frequent had a story to share about his experience in Church today. With permission, this is his experience during today's three hour block....

So the entire Sacrament Meeting today was dedicated to the subject of tithing. No mention of Memorial day. No memories of loved ones or of military men and women who paid the ultimate price. It was dedicated to tithing. The stake high councilman was anxious to note if you give any of your assets to a charity, it does not count as tithing. Forget feeding the poor, first feed the corporate organization. The last ten minutes a member of the Stake Presidency took the pulpit. He announced the stake leadership were "very" concerned the percentage of tithe payers had dropped considerably in our stake. Surprise, concern, in a stake which donated thousands to prop H8, whose region is now in a economic disaster.

I hope he couldn't see the smile on my face, sitting out among the sheep...


It's quite amazing to me that they took the time to tell people that donating to charity isn't good enough. No. Instead, you need to write out a check to the LDS Church.

Looks like they are hurting for funds.

That puts a smile on my face, too.

I have said it before, but I will say it again... Helping people with your talents and time is just as important to donating money to charities. If you do want to contribute to charities, please donate to groups that are accountable for how that money is spent. The church refuses to show ANY of their financial records, and they have refused to do this for a very long time. They claim their members don't ask for it, but that is a lie. I am a member, and I ask for it.

The mormon church owns more companies than you could possibly know about. Some of these companies you would never even know belonged to the church!

At one point I had a huge list of these companies on this article, but I couldn't get the formatting to work. Instead, I will give a link to the list for you...

Have they always been upfront and honest about the money and management of these companies?? Hell no!

A day later, because the ownership of the Deseret News and its articles were keys to the case, Joseph F. Smith testified:

Mr. Tayler: In what form does your church have title to the Deseret News property?

Mr. Smith: It owns the deed.

Mr. Tayler: I am speaking of the newspaper, not the building.

Mr. Smith: The press; yes. I would like to state that when I was asked that question before, Mr. Tayler, I was not aware of the fact that I have since learned from my counsel here that during the trusteeship of Lorenzo Snow the Deseret News plant was transferred from the Deseret News Company to Lorenzo Snow, trustee, in trust. I was not aware of the fact, Mr. Chairman, when that question was asked me yesterday, I believe it was. I have since learned that that is the fact and that my counsel who is here made out the papers for the transfer. .....

Mr. Tayler: So that it is now in YOU as trustee in trust?

Mr. Smith: NOW I OWN IT AS TRUSTEE IN TRUST. Furthermore, I will say that I have discovered since yesterday that there is published on the second or third page of the Deseret News the statement that it is the "organ of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints" (Reed Smoot case, Vol. 1, page 158).

As you can see, the Mormon Church has been about business for a very long time.

So yeah, lets not talk about the men and women who lost their lives defending the United States.
Let''s forget that there are men and women fighting TWO wars right now. Lets forget about the wars of the past and the lives that were lost.

Lets instead, talk about tithing and how important it is.

This church makes me sick.

One of the Reasons I Don't Like To Fly...

London police arrested an American Airlines pilot twenty minutes before he was scheduled to fly 204 passengers from London to Chicago. 57-year-old Captain Joseph Crites was four-times over the legal alcohol limit and reeking of booze when he tried to enter his Boeing 777's cockpit.

The 10.15am flight yesterday - AA87 - was delayed while a replacement pilot was found and the Boeing 777 eventually took off at 11.30am.

American Airlines said today: "An American Airlines pilot was arrested at Heathrow yesterday having failed a breathalyser test. Police had been called by airport staff working at the security control post.

Arrests of drunken pilots are "quite infrequent," said a police spokesman who declined to be named, in line with police policy. "They are not everyday occurrences."


Like another commenter on the website The Consumerist, I have to wonder who blew the whistle on the guy... a flight attendant? The co-pilot? It would be really scary if it was a passenger who raised hell...

Good freaking grief!

I know... I know... getting on a plane is safer than getting in your car or truck... but in your vehicle you are not thousands of miles in the air... well... hopefully you are not thousands of miles in the air...

I think a pilot is one of those professions that get automatic respect. Doctors also get this respect... people assume you are on top of your game and they can immediately trust you. It's a shame that morons scare people like me out of hopping on a plane and enjoying the friendly skies!

Here are more reasons I don't like to fly...

Ooooh, More Mormon Mail!!

Check out this message I received on the "Great Moments in Mormon History" article I wrote a loooooooooong time ago...

Whomever is without sin, let them cast the first stone.

The only thing you have done in this post is to humanize members of the LDS Church. Humanization of Mormons does little to discredit Mormonism itself.

On the contrary - it makes the leadership much more real and accessible.

We can know that God does miraculous and amazing things through very imperfect people.

Thank you for helping to strengthen my testimony of the truthfulness of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There is nothing better than being an active Mormon and participating fully in the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Are you without sin, because you are throwing a huge ass stone at me!

How is it that I dehumanized anyone by listing a series of events that actually happened? These events are documented and real. Are you ashamed of the events? Angered by the things I had to say? If so, you are directing your anger at the wrong person.

I don't need to de-humanize anyone to show evidence the church isn't what it claims to be. The facts do that all by themselves. :) The only thing you have done in your comment is make yourself look like someone who doesn't know what they are talking about.
